More Cakes

I made this cake for a bridal shower my sister had a work for a co-worker. We made the cake and she didn't know if it was going to feed all the people she needed to so we made the cupcakes to match. I had a few errors but hopefully they weren't to noticeable. She said everyone liked it!! But man those flowers took all day saturday to do! But I have tons extra if anyone ever wants one like this!!!

My sister Malene works for Selecthealth and she invited me to be her guest at their summer party. It was at Franklin Covey field. We had lunch. Hot dogs and Hamburgers and everything that goes with those. They had a lot of Activities for kids so we picked one and did the face paintings. It was fun but extremely hot! The next saturday they all got to go to a bee's game and bring their families. Luckly my sister Scored enough tickets to take her and my family with her!! Colby got kind of bored but it was fun!! We got the tickets in the shade so it was perfect. The Bee's got blown out in the game so we left early! It was late for the kids too.

I didn't want the painting on my face so I had a baseball put on my leg it was fitting for the baseball field we were at and Tim was playing in the Region softball tournament for church that day too! I also have two boys and I thought Colby would think it was cool!

New Car!!!

We are officially inducted into the "Mormon Community" We bought a mini van! We love it! It's so roomy and has such great fetures and kids are easier to get in and out of it!! Probably till we have to put kids in the back seat! We decided to finally buy a mini van after a year of hemming and hawing over it and going camping and having to take 2 cars! It's a 2008 Toyota Sienna...we would recommend it to anyone!

Working 4 Utah

At the begining of August the State of Utah went to 4 day 10 hour work weeks. The Governor wanted to save energy on the building use and Employee's travel costs and Give us an extra day with our families. It has caused a lot of contention in the office's but Tim and I love it! I had already been working them because my office was flexible enough. But Tim's wasn't so now we have 3 day weekends everyweek with each other and love it. We actually have gotten to clean our house and do yard work!!!

Cake Decorating Class

I decided to take a cake decorating class. My sister Malene joined me. She didn't like spending money on it and it wasn't good for her diet! She has done soo good on her diet and frosting I guess is her weekness. Thank goodness it's not mine. Here are the finished products for course one. I start course 2 tomorrow(by myself, well a girl from my ward happened to take it with me and she is moving on to course 2 also) One weeks out come isn't on here. We did cupcakes and I didn't have time to really decorate them and so they weren't picture worthy.

This is my first class. The butterfly fly marks are scuffed on one side because I accidentaly stuck my finger in it when cleaning up my station! It even tasted really good. Chocolate with carmel pudding in the middle.

This is my last cake for course one. The Icing I had was horrible so it was hard to work with. But I have lots of trouble with the roses. but this is what I did in the end. I take my cakes to work because they are to big for us to eat at our house so I had to write something and since tomorrow we start the state employees working 4 tens I put the slogan the govenor came up with. Most of the coworkers didn't like it. They wanted to celebrate something else!!

2nd Annual Friends Campout

As a kid growing up my neighborhood would have a campout out every summer/spring as a neigborhood so I have started this tradition in my new neighborhood. Sorry no pictures our camera is broken I haven't gotten any pictures from anyone else yet. All other pictures I have posted are my sisters. Tim and I decided to stay two nights as most people only stay one. So we went up to Coalville to stay at an RV Park that has cabins camping and tent sites. Well needless to say we got their and unpacked and took a walk around and noticed none of the tents sight or anything had tables or firepits...how to tenters cook food without a firepit....well when the Ingles our friends got there we started driving around to find a new campsite for 8 families on the july 24th weekend. We went to Echo reservoir and it was like beer drinking camping on the beach of the lake(with toddlers and kids yeah right!) Well then we went to Rock port State Park and they were all full at the top campground but said there was first come first serve down below and we went down and they luckly had 5 open sites. So we reserved them went back got our money back and packed up and went to our new site. The Irelands met us there by that time. We didn't get dinner cooked or eat till 11:00 at night and since we had a cabin at the other site we had to sleep with the ingles in their HUGE tent with a blanket and sheets...it was a little chilly but we survived. and 5 kids under the age 5 sleeping in one tent....it spells disaster...but they were all perfect. I think the Ingles are the most giving people I have met. We all spent the next day riding bikes and playing at the beach at rockport. Other families came up we had the Beebes' the Catenzaro's, and the Henriksen's. The Woodruff's and the Roger's just drove up for dinner as they had conflicts and couldn't sleep over. It was fun to get to know our friends more and talk. After dinner all the kids and adults that could played football. It was fun. In the morning we all packed up and left after breakfast. Everyone who was done first helped everyone else pack up I have never had that happen on a camping trip before it was nice!! Tim and I after two weekends in a row are done camping for the year. Oh yeah the second night sleeping over my parents had brought up all the tent, and supplies we needed for the next night. We had to bring two cars up!

Davis Family Reunion July 18-20th

We went on our Davis Family Campout to a place called Red Canyon RV Park in Red Canyon Utah. It's about 15 Minutes outside of Bryce Canyon. This is about the last place in Utah I hadn't been so it was cool to see. Bryce Canyon was an incredible wonder that we know only heavenly father could make such and awesome creation. It was kind of touch and go weather. On the way back from bryce canyon to our campsite we got poured on! But it was fun. Not many of our family members could make it because of gas prices.
