Surgery

So I have been sick with Nauseousness for about 5 weeks and then I started with Liver pain. Went to the Dr a couple of times. I got on prilosec incase I was having some of my dads stomach problems. Then the pain came so I got a CT done they thought they saw gall stones so I went to a surgeon on Monday. He said it sounds and looks like gall bladder disease....well needless to say once you ahve stones they don't go away you just get attacks whenever they feel like it. So he if you want it out I had a cancellation for tomorrow or I will be out of town for a couple weeks and we can take care of it after that or whenever you like. I was at a good place when I left work so I decided to do it Tues oct 7th...so here I am two days post op with a body part missing. I hope it makes me feel better after the scars are healed. I had a scary thing no one told me about but Tim. But I guess somebody labeled the Anethesia wrong and I got epidural drug in my IV instead of Dye and so I had to have an antidote and then they had to monitor me for Cardiac arrest. I heard someone talking to my nurse as I was coming out of it about Cardiac arrest and ICU but when I could talk and asked how it went she said fine. I am going to ge my medical records so I know what really happened. Tim Didn't quite get what the doctor told him what happened. But everything went good and I am fine. My darn shoulder hurts more than the 4 incisions. I guess they pump you full of air doing surgery and you get phantom shoulder pain.

September 2008

We have had a busy month....I mean it was National Stay at home week on TV starting this month.....We have our schedule but Wednesdays are the only day we don't have a show we are addicted too during weekdays. I have been having my cake classes on Mondays, I play on the Ward volleyball team on Tuesday nights....for some reason when I get put on one or the other of the two teams our ward has that team looses.....not good! I hope it's really not my fault. Tim is playing on our ward football team on thursday nights. They are doing good. We got most of yard ready for the winter. Pulling up our petunias and planting bulbs for the spring. We have gotten our first year of raspberries....not enough yet to make jelly or something but we have had a few snacks. We keep busy. We love our boys.

Parkers has learned to sit up. He is starting to jabber. He has only rolled over a couple of times but is so so so cute. Colby can make him laugh just by looking at him. He is so precious and we love every moment.

Colby just says the funniest thing everyday. He talks better and can understand so much I just can't believe how big he is getting. He will be 3 in 19 days......

We went to the fair this month and looked at the animals. We ate at the Cow association(or whatever) and had fresh tender beef sandwhichs. My sister and sister in law weren't impressed but the rest of us liked it. Me and my mom shared a bavarian cream funnel cake...not as good as I thought it would be. We all got cheap sunglasses there. Tim and I went into the Dish Tv truck....well we ended up signing up so Tim could see all his Michigan Games....and We have Tivo now...so we can record without tapes. We record a lot of our shows we don't want Colby to see (maybe we shouldn't be watching either) We got the internet...but our modem hasn't come yet and so we don't have it yet and we will inherit an old Computer from my parents.

That's our month in a nutshell...sorry for rambling.

Fondant and Gum Paste Cake Finale

Here are pictures of my Fondant and Gum Paste Cake Finale cake. I had an issue with the Marshmallow fondant. I made it myself and it was a little difficult to work with...but maybe I will get better. It tastes better than other fondants. I made the flowers with Gum Paste. I love Calla Lillies so when she showed us how to make them I just had to make them for my cake. The cake was Chocolate cake with Grasshopper cookies crushed into it and I flavored the Fondant Mint....IT was good...rich but good. Thanks to those who helped us eat it.

Salsa, Salsa and More Salsa

So I continued my yearly tradition of bottling salsa. My neighbor Jenn has joined me the last two years to continue this tradition. It's nice to have help and more supplies. This year we made some changes....we did it a lot more effecient then our first time together. And it went a lot faster. We added more peppers and onions. It was good. We bottled 70 Pints....did you hear that 70!!! It was awesome. We now should have enough to last till next season. Here are some pictures from that fun and exciting time.

The most important thing....the babysitter....Tim was wonderful to take care of the kids and play with them.

See they had tons of fun. Colby loved playing with Tanner. Colby woke up from his nap that afternoon and said I want Tanner. It was so cute.

Pureeing the ingredients..it's alot faster than hand chopping.

Me and Jenn Filling the bottles

The finished product. I had to process my bottles three times...I think I filled them too full.

Jenn and I posing so cute....I hope you realize I hadn't done my hair or showered for the day.
