Update, Update, Update...

It has been a busy summer and we have just been busy (or lazy) to blog. So here you go...Let's start in June...well June we got a lot of rain which helped the garden. Here are some pics of our garden. We planted corn, cucumber, egg plant, squash, pumpkin, watermelon, canteloupe, roma tomato's and Jalepeno's.

the canteloupe and watermelon:

Here is a view looking from front to back:

Our handsome oldest boy standing in front of the flower bed.

Here is another shot of the front flower bed.

A shot of our side flower bed in front of the house.

One of our favorite activities is picking raspberries so Parker can eat them all... = )

Here is a pic of our little Parker helping harvest the garden.

Colby took this pic so I thought I would post it. It was taken when I was taking pictures of the flowerbeds in the front of our yard.

Here is our handsome boy making his silly face...Colby is so silly!

Here is our fire pit where we do dutch oven and roast marshmallows...

This is our sweet little Parker while learning to walk. He likes to play with golf balls.

With a face like this it is hard to imagine the trouble I can get into huh?

Balance...almost got it...There we go. Sorry about the blurry pic.

Some of the comments below are from Kari...

What else happened in June? Neighborhood campout. This year we went to Crystal Hot Springs again. There were about 4 families that could join us. We had so much fun. Sorry No pictures on our end. We had Navajo Tacos and Smore's. It was a bit rainy and so we did get a little wet. In fact on Saturday we all decided to go swimming together and the water slides had cold water and it was too cold and rainy so we literally only stayed like 15 minutes. It is always fun to hang out with such good neighbors of ours!

In July.....

On the Fourth of July it's Kari's family tradition that we all get together and go see the fireworks at Eaglewood Golf Course. We can always be found on the 1st tee. It has also become a tradition that a bunch of our neighbors and friends join us. It was so fun to have the Cantenzaro's, Cary's, and Thatchers join us this year. We did miss the Woodruff's! If anyone else joined us...sorry I have Alzheimers!! I know there were more...but that's what I get for posting late!

The circle of fire between neighbors around us. We had lots of fireworks and it was a good show by all. Sorry no pictures for that either...

We also make it a tradition to go to the 24th parade with Kari's family and the Woodruff's. This year was no exception. We have Subway and coozied up by Marie Calander's and even had a surprise of the Ingles joining us it was fun. We did however have an accident that happened in front of us. A lady with Down Syndrome bent down to pick up a piece of candy she was throwing at the crowd that she had dropped and lost her balance and fell. She got run over by a big Jeep and so it stopped the parade for awhile..I hope it was a good lesson for the kids if anything good could have come of it!

In August, we had another campout with Kari's dad side of the family...We stayed at a RV resort in Moab. It wasn't super hot so we were ok. We hiked some hikes in Arches again. Our first night there we went to Moab Brewery for dinner.....well that was a mistake the food wasn't good and afterwards our waitress followed us out asking if our service was bad because Tim didn't give a good enough tip she thought. even though it was standard. And then tried to give us a guilt trip about how they don't pay her and our tip is her only way to live....but I sure do guarantee she makes more off drunk people in an hour than I make all day at my job!! We won't be going back there.

In September we had our annual Salsa making Party with Jenn Woodruff, but this year we were lucky enough to have my friend Julie from work helping us. IT was fun. Well we decided the first batch of about 70 pints just wasn't enough and our garden was still giving so the next weekend we bottled and additional 60 or so pints plus we were crazy enough to bottle about 50 jelly jars and about 20 pints of peach jam...only with one ALMOST little fire from the stove from me putting the jelly in a too small of pan and it boiled over. Good thing Jenn had the stuff to clean it off the stove with!! That was a 13 hour day of work. I think I still am recouping. But it is always fun!

Just a quick update on our boys...

Colby is almost 4 I can't believe how time has flown by. He started preschool at Miss Melanie's preschool it's right close to my parents house and so it's easy access. He goes with his good buddy Jaxon. He has already learned so much. He knows his ABC's and 123's and can make the sounds to the letters he has even began to learn to write his name. It's coy or cobl...he leaves a few letters out but it's a start. He drew a picture of his family and he included a little baby in it. He told his teacher it was his little sister Tori. Well Tori is his baby cousin. I guess he wants her in our family....only time will tell if he get's his wish. He is a really smart kid and so out going and so loving. He asks everyone he meets their name. He is IN LOVE with Transformers. He always talks about them and wants a new one the second he does get a new one. He loves primary and his teachers. and he had a part in the primary program... they asked what their mothers did for them. and he said that "my mommy gives me, hugs, kisses and yogurt"I guess I do something right!!! He also has a friend in preschool that is African American. He said I have a new friend at school that is BLACK. I don't know where he learned it but he must know some people call them that. Well his grandma asked him what his name was and he said I don't know I think I will just call him BLACKIE....UM NO!!!! we put a stop to that quick. We made his ask his name...it's Keaton and it sounds like they are good buds!!! WE LOVE having our sweet Colby in our family he is very loving out going little man!!!

Parker is 18 months old. He has attempted to go to nursery but it has failed. He is unlike Colby and he does not like to go and have us leave him. He crys and crys and crys. But he is our little comedian at home. It will make funny faces and pause and look at us and when we laugh he laughs and thinks he is so funny. He loves to try and be a big boy like his brother. But well he is a little limited. He loves ballons and balls. He loves to pucker up and give kisses. He is a very happy boy and again like Colby they both love and adore their daddy!!! They couldn't be two different looking and acting boys but we love them so much equally!!! Can't wait to watch them grow but don't want them to grow at the same time.

More pics will follow soon....
