Spring has arrived.....well except for the snow

The few nice days we have had have been wonderful! We have been working in the yard, goin on Bike Rides, Blowing Bubbles, going for walks and just plain enjoying it. Attached are some of our activities this month!

Colby playing with the camera and taking a self portrait

Me and the boys hangin out

Parker....well being...sneeky looking

Parker in the last week has just started doing peek-a-boo....this is a shot of him actually covering his eyes.

Peek-a-boo again

Colby got a new bike....it doesn't have peddles it is suppose to help them learn balancing better without the training wheels.

Cobly enjoying his new bike and his new bike helmet.

Flowers that have sprung up in the spring. We planted spring bulbs for the first time last fall....love them!!! These are my hyanthe.....oh I don't know!

My crokasis...ok I don't know how to spell them or say them but these came really early and I only have two left blooming but they were pretty!

My pretty Tulips...I love these they are short border tulips that come early too. With a pansi in the background

Ok so actually I have planted bulbs before but every year until this one I just got a few green things on this one...but these are tiny little butter cups...really cute

Ok so I had to show the buds on my parkway trees! I can't wait for them to flower and for green things to start coming!

Colby and Tim blowing bubbles....um Tim are you enjoying this? I think not!

Parker doesn't like the grass yet so this is him climbing on me.

Parker and Colby with their Bike helmets on getting ready to go for a bike ride...Parker hated his.

Parker and Colby all loaded up and hooked up to dads bike....Boy did dad have a load to carry and he even went faster than mom!

A closer shot of them through the mesh :)

Swimming

We took the boys to the rec center last night and went swimming with them. We were worried about Colby but he was a lot better than he was last year. He was so afraid of the water even though he loves his baths. Maybe it has something to do with the bubbles. Parker was just having the time of his life. We think we will put the boys in swimming lessons, in the meantime, take them swimming as much as possible so that they get used to the water! It was a lot of fun and if you have been swimming in awhile a lot of work.

What a weekend!!! The weather was lovely...

We finally had a weekend of lovely weather and we got a jumpstart on the yardwork. Our yard is almost weed free(for now) and preen has been laid down to prevent future weeds (we hope), although we ran out and so we will need to go get some more. Hopefully this is the year where our garden gives us some really good results. In the past we have only had a few things grow instead of everything we grow. It is never to early to think ahead and be prepared. We signed up for memberships at the Bountiful Rec Center - so if anyone ever wants to hang out at the bubble, let us know. Or just chill at the pool. = ) We put Parker on the grass and he didn't like it one bit. Maybe once it greens up and gets a little softer things will be different. Of course he should be walking by then. When we weed, Colby likes us to find worms. He likes to hold them in his hands and then he will put them back in the dirt when he is done playing with them. Which usually leads to us having to find more worms! Silly boy!

Anyways that was the weekend! I hope everyone else was able to get out and enjoy it!

Pay it forward-tag

Here's how this game works, the 1st 5 people to leave a comment on this post will receive, at some point during the year, a handmade gift from me. What it will be and when it will arrive is a total surprise! The catch is that you must participate as well. Before you leave your comment, write up a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going. Then come back, let me know you're going to play and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift. After you receive your gift you only have to post a picture and story about it, so we can all share in the excitement.

Happy Birthday Parker

Here's a little bit about our little Parker

He's a very happy boy
He likes to walk while holding your hands. He won't sit on laps anymore he just reaches till he gets both of your pointer fingers grabs them and arches his back and slides off you lap and begs for you to walk him.
He doesn't crawl he scoots. So we call him scooter (hence his birthday cake)
He can pull himself up and sit down and slide off couches.
He makes funnies with his mouth.
When we sing " I'm a bullrider" (my dad's nickname for him) he puts one arm or both in the air and waves them
He likes to smile big.
He loves food...but is a little more leary about just letting us put anything in.
For his birthday on saturday my whole family went to build-a-bear. Colby, Parker and their cousins Madison and Morgan built animals. Parker a monkey with a Jazz outfit. Colby a doggy with a football outfit. Madison a kitty in a summer dress and Morgan a bear in a summer outfit. My mom, dad, sister and grandma came to watch and enjoy. Afterwards we all went to Rumbi to grab a bite to eat.
Sunday we had his birthday dinner with the same croud at my house and my Uncle this time and had cake and ice cream. I made him a scooter cake because he's our little Scooter. Today on his birthday Tim and I worked but we went to paces for ice cream cones as a family to celebrate! Here are some random pictures and pictures from his birthday!

Parker turns 1 today!!!

Our little Parker aka Scooter turns 1 today! How does the time fly? We are thankful that is has been 1 year since our little boy has joined our family. I am grateful for a wonderful family and the blessings that come with it! We will post pics later of his wonderful birthday experiences.
