March 2010

On March third our night was going so well. We had the kids bathed and ready for bed and about to read them stories at about 7:30....we were on top of it. Well I was in our bedroom. Tim was in the Living room and Colby and Parker were playing in the hall. I heard a thud and a cry and Tim did to. He was quicker to get to Parker than I was and he yelled "Kari" I ran! Parker was pouring blood out of his mouth and screaming. Then Colby started crying super hard.....saying he was so so so so so so sorry he didn't mean to make "Parkers blood stick out." He was so sorry. Well it looked like to us that his tooth went all the way through his lip. We didn't know wether to take him to primary's or an insta care. We stuck with insta care so we didn't want to take him around all the sick kids at primary's. Well instacare said they can't do stitches on a lip on a kid and we had to take him to the emergency room. So off to Primary's we went. He luckly cut his lip on the heater vent and his tooth cut the inside so it didn't go all the way through. The inner lip they let heal on it's on but the outer lip they put 3 stitches in. Well they gave him versed to calm him down and it would make him not remember the process. Well with him it didn't calm him down. He became the devil incarnate and screamed and hit and kick and threw....well that ain't my sweet little parker. It lasted for about 1 hour and a 1/2. He threw a popscicle at the Doctor. But he looks as good as new! You can hardly see it now. How it happened....well we can only tell you what a 4 year old did. Their ballon strings got wrapped together and he pulled hard and pulled parker down and he landed face first on the heatervent air return!! Boys will be boys.

Two days later my dad got put in the hospital again for bleeding in his stomach and really low blood pressure. He was in Intermediate care unit. A step above the floor but a step below ICU. They got it all stopped and his stomach feeling better and released him 3 days later. While this was all happening.....I got a nasty eyelid infection and had to go a week with glasses (my most unfavorite thing in the world) all with the worst headaches and dizziness I have had. The eye is cleared up and I am working with Dr's on the headache. I have had a couple of MRI's and have a probable demylenation disease. Isn't that wonderful. I meet with a neurologist in May.

We have decided how this year has started for all of us WE NEED A VACATION!!!!

Parker had his 2nd birthday. He is getting to be such a big boy. He is just learning to but more than one word together and starting to say a lot more words. He is a verying loving boy and so cute. He loves his older brother and loves to repeat him. He loves basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, anything ball related. HE loves bubbles and balloons. He likes to put his hands on his cheek and yell your name when he is trying to get your attention. Its so so so cute. We had a birthday party with just family. I made him a sponge bob square pants cake only because he could say spongebob before mom. We had sandwhiches and chips and salad for his dinner. We love this kid and we are so grateful he is a part of our family!

So we took one at the end of March. Ok it was planned before all the craziness. But it came at a time we needed a break. But still had stuff going on but we made it work. Last year at the fair Tim got us into one of those timeshare meeting things that they tried to coerce us into getting a timeshare....well we didn't but we got some cash, gas gift cards, two nights in vegas, and 100.00 at planet hollywood in vegas and a bunch of other stuff. Well we decided since my Cousin was blessing their baby in Cedar City on March 28th that we would take our trip after that. So Saturday the 27th we drove to Cedar City and played in the pool at the hotel with all our extended family and had pizza. My mom and sister came with us. The next day we went to the blessing. It was so fun to see our family all in church together and Tyson did a awesome job blessing Grady! It's the first boy in my Uncles family. I hope they know what to do with him. My uncle has 5 girls and all the grandkids up till grady were girls! We left right after the blessing to head to Vegas....well when we were rolling into Vegas. My cute mom said...."you know we are only a couple hours from Disneyland" We should have just gone there. We all laughed and said that would be fun. Well we started driving down the strip....MISTAKE. it took forever to drive down it! We were frustrated with the lights and everything. It was so crowded even that early in the day. My mom said we should really go to disneyland. We started talking seriously about it. We got to the hotel. And before checking in we tried to find a computer and internet. My sister had forgotten her laptop so we couldn't use the wifi. Well they only had outragiously expensive pay computers. So we called my brother at home. He said he would look for us but I am sure was disappointed that we were going to disneyland without them. He found us a hotel and gave us the number. In the mean time we found a free internet at the travel bureau. We found a hotel with half price rate and booked the rooms. We stayed one night in our hotel in vegas used our 100.00 at planet hollywood and the next day headed to DISNEYLAND! Seriously....no one in my family is spontanious...if I didn't know better we were all on something. But we weren't! We spent the first day in California getting ready for disneyland....We had to buy another umbrella stroller for Colby because we only brought one. We had to buy deoderant for me i forgot mine and had to use Tim's one day...gross I know.....I forgot a lot of stuff...swimming suit. deoderant..church shoes....2 strollers. I Am loosing my mind slowly but surely. We bought sandwhich stuff and breakfast stuff so we didn't have to go out to eat too much. We were sick of eating out already! We spent three days in disneyland. Colby and Parker loved it!!! Colby Hated Space mountain but pretty much liked everything else...oh wait he cried on.....Thunder mountain too....but didn't hate it as bad. He says he loved....buzzlightyear....pinocchio....dumbo.....rocketship. All of which he rode with me :) He loved meeting the characters. Goofey put the moves on me!! Tim said watch out Goofy! He stared at the parade and never looked back. We ate at a BBQ in Disneyland one night. He was brave and got on stage and was so cute and Parker had to follow...they kept wanting to go back on stage! We only got to spend a couple of hours in California adventure so we rode the monsters inc ride and a few of the dorky bugs life ride for the kids before we headed off to California Screamin! It's an awesome roller coaster. Colby and my mom went on Toy story 3d....they loved it. Parker couldn't behave in line so I had to take him out. We ended our trip with me, tim and malene riding the grizzly rapids or something and I got completely wet! It was 9:00 at night and freezing cold....but it was worth it. No one was in line we got to stay on the ride and go twice. The boys fell asleep while we were riding with my mom. It was fun and we made lots of fun memories. The drive back all in one day was rough but the boys were so good in the car! We were exhausted. We crashed at night...well atleast did. I saw my friend Christy at Smiths the next day and she took one look and me and said holy cow you look tired is everything ok...I said we just got back from disneyland..she laughed and said she understood! What an adventure! Our camera broke so all I have is my sisters pictures so enjoy!

The only shot of got of Parker's stitches. He didn't want his picture taken he wanted to take pictures.

Here we come Disneyland. Ok so we took our coming to disneyland picture when we were leaving!!!

February 2010

I had a 8 week ultrasound appointment in early february with my dr....we found out that the baby didn't make it and that I was going to have a miscarriage some time in the next two weeks. Luckly I was able to have it on my own and it only took about a 1/2 a week. We understand that this happens and it's a part of nature. It was just the chromosomes not all right. I still get sad when I see babies but I am grateful for my two little ones I already have and know that I will have another one when the time is right!! A couple of days later my dad went in the hospital he had amonia built up in his body so it was making him very forgetful and didn't know where he was or what he was doing. So they got him fixed up and his mind was as clear as it had been in a long time. He also celebrated his 60th birthday!

January 2010

January is a big month for our family. We have soooo many birthdays Tim had his 35th birthday....we love you OLD FART!!! We had a fun shower that me, my sister and my cousin Liz and cousin Becca threw for their sister Rachael who lives in Cedar City. She came up for the shower. It was so much fun. We had soups and treats and rolls. Our family, their moms family, and old neighbors all came. It was nice to catch up. We had fun afterwards too. We sent Tim off to hang out with Liz's husband Gaylen and all the girls and kids stayed at my house and we did pedicures, Ordered in Applebee's and watched Julie and Julia(boring show) but fun company. I was exhausted by the end of the night. The night before that Tim and I spent the night in the U of U emergency room. I had a very high heart rate it stayed between 130 and 180 the entire time I was in there and of course throughout the whole night.....The diagnosis......early pregnancy and it was an early symptom of it. It luckly was gone by the end of the weekend. I spent the next two weeks going from normal clothes to maternity clothes. Come to find out at my first dr's appointment I was only like a day pregnant when I was in there because two weeks later the ultrasound only showed 5 1/2 weeks along. but I looked about 6 months pregnant. More about this in february. No pictures this month either

December 2009

Well December was busy like always. My Uncle and Aunt moved in with my parents since their house sold so we had fun eating dinners with them most nights. We went to the Michigan vs Utah Utes basketball game. We did the normal trip to see the lights. We had christmas eve at my moms with her brothers and all the cousins. We had christmas breakfast at my cousin liz's house since Uncle Kevin is moving :( We helped make breakfast casserols to share. The boys enjoyed their christmas. Colby got like 7 transformers and that pretty much cured him of his gimmie gimmie gimmie attitude at the store asking for them. What else is there to ask for when you have it all. He got clothes and a cool school computer. Parker got a wagon and he seriously sat in it the whole time we opened presents. It was cute! He got toys and clothes also. The day after christmas we went with my parents, sister and nieces to Hardware Ranch to see the elk and go for a sleigh ride! New years eve....well I did the normal falling asleep at 9:00 on the couch so Tim had to ring in the new year all by himself!!! Does anyone else never have something to do on new years and want to start a tradition with us and ring it in with us?

The elk!
